Does Fixing An Overbite Change The Face Shape

books in July (part 1) Bernard

July is always a very profitable month for my reading.
Over the past two years, I have read, respectively, 10 (2008) and 13 (in 2009) books in this month of summer heat, swimming and sunbathing. Also in 2010, things are looking good, so here's some advice and do not recommend for your summer reading or not. Let's start with

I had heard wrong, and also is the last book on the amazing family Malaussene. This is why I waited so long to read it.
In fact it's worth it. The book is divided into two parts: the first is a long monologue created from Mr Malaussene , with Benjamin, who turns to the unborn child. Avoidable, you say?
you probably yes, if you have just read Mr Malaussene . But if, like me, the last reading dates back to months ago ... and then, come on, it's always nice to refresh our memory.
The second part tells of the adventure Piccolo who would like to know his dad. Expect the unexpected events in style Malaussene.

And now for something fun.

A new collection of facts on the most famous ranger of television, ideal to browse occasionally, to laugh, and preferably in the company. There's something for everyone!
Here are a few samples:

•
Chuck Norris has caused panic in a shop of glasses on the bench leaving a suspicious box. It was later discovered that it was just a stunt.
• In the original version of The Betrothed, the phrase "This marriage is not to do" was to be delivered by Chuck Norris. The book lasted three pages, because no one had anything to say.

For the series "Even our animal friends want their own space, here is a book dedicated to them.

hundred ways to train your dog its human , by Simon Whaley.

A nice little manual that is a must for those who love man's best friend.
Contains hundreds of tips, from dog to dog, what to do to understand the human's house who is in charge in reality many subtle suggestions about the sweets, the children, the chair of the house ...
Obviously the board, from human to human, it suggests that the book is: do not read it to your dog!

Would you like to find out how many stereotypes are false?

ignorance The book, by John Mitchinson and John Lloyd.
Rejected: ★ ★

A book that dispels many stereotypes, but that is not immune, alas, a certain amount of arrogance that what transpires between the lines of this otherwise useful, why not? , funny essay here is the reason that makes me give it only two stars.
Many of the facts, many of the anecdotes are actually more familiar to a large frame. Ostriches do not put our heads in the sand ... The Roman emperors not turned his thumb downward to decree the death of gladiators. Many
many curiosities, in this wise, but often the question is posed in such a way that the response you'd expect about a subject completely different from that in which the authors venture. When asked "What was the most crushing defeat of Napoleon?" (Cited above), you'll never think the rabbits? Of course not, you'd think at Waterloo. But rather than think of Waterloo the rabbits I do not think "ignorance". It seems to me more than anything else, the result of an approach of thinking that leads us to see Napoleon as a historical figure.
In short, what the authors offer does not meet the expectations that the book creates. Too bad, because the idea was cute.

Myths , Lucia Imperatore.

Lucia Imperatore combines in one volume, small and not too expensive after all, the vast majority of Greek and Roman myths (also with references to mythology italica), adding to each deity and every myth a pictorial or sculptural more or less known.
We start from the beginning, from Uranus and Gaia, through Saturn, Zeus and other Olympian gods, the heroes of mythology (even the lesser-known), the Iliad and The Odyssey, and concludes with the Aeneid. The book is really nice and full. It can be a very welcome gift for lovers of art and mythology.
